How 'Ẹgbẹ' Festival Was Celebrated At Popoyemoja

Egbe Orun is as important as Ori, the spiritual essence of the destiny of any man. It is because the Ori of the Òrìṣà worked for their good that gave them the popularity till date. If the Òrìsà wants to help a human and his Ori refuses, there is nothing the Òrìsà can do. In the same way, no matter the effort an individual makes in a bid to better his life or push away evil, if his Egbe does not subscribe to it, all the effort will amount to nothing.
Everyone has a spiritual companion or astral mates but when neglected, they can block good fortune from coming towards his earthly mate.

One can only get his desires from the Supreme Being through propitiating his Ori and Egbe.

People have the believe that having Ẹgbẹ́ is evil, in order to erase the misconception and misinterpretation concerning heavenly mates, a colorful and eventful festival lights up Popoyemoja, Ibadan area in Oyo state on March 20 where all traditional believers and lovers of Ìṣẹ̀ṣe converged to know more about Ẹgbẹ́ and their manifestations and also to celebrate their Ẹgbẹ́(spiritual companions).

According to the convener, Yeye Omitọnade Ifawemimo Egbelade, the festival was centered on correcting the public on the way they misinterpret egbe, " We do not need to be angry with them because some were mislead while some were not well tutored, so we have to create an avenue for them to move closer to their astral mates and relate with them without fear"

To make the festival a memorable one, an eye opener forum was orgnanised where guest speakers educates people on how they can relate and connect with their Ẹgbẹ́, how to know what they can offer to them, how they can know which group they belong to and many more

For record, the cultural activities that covers all the roads to Popoyemoja will still linger on in the minds of many people for lengthy months.
