Electricity Bill Benefits:
1: Individual can construct, operate, Generate electricity not exceeding 100KW. All that is needed is send your application to NERCNG.
2: Electricity generating companies have been mandated to source power from Renewable energy.
3: states can regulate their electricity by issuing licenses to PRIVATE INVESTORS. State house of Assembly must pass ELECTRICITY BILL into law. Only 3 states have electricity law. They are as usual, Lagos leads, Kaduna and Edo. Let’s ask our state Governor to send executive bill to the house of Assembly, if not NERC will continue to regulate for our state. Copying and paste Lagos Energy law template won’t be a bad idea.
4: The law prevents INTER -STATE and transactional electricity distribution.
5: Hopefully President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will send another amendment to allow Inter -state electricity distribution. Lagos can sell to Ondo, Oyo, Kwara and Ogun states. Edo can sell to Delta and Anambra.
