Oodua People's Congress reformed has joined Nigerian to congratulate Mr Kayode Egbetokun on his appointment as the Acting Inspector General of Police by President Bola Tinubu.
The group in a Congratulatory message signed by its national President, Ambassador Dare Adesope,described Egbetokun appointment as “well-deserved ”, however, he called on the Acting IGP to use his position and the opportunity given to him to rebrand the image of the police force across the country.
Adesope also noted that the newly promoted DIG, Mr. Egbetokun had distinguished himself as an exemplary police officer with zero tolerance to corrupt practices and violations of human rights in all the places he had served.
According to the OPC boss, the Acting IGP can be described as a super cop who has demonstrated uncommon commitment to his job as a police officer and a patriotic Nigerian ' I know he will use his technocrat ability to rebrand the police.'
Sealing the congratulatory message, the OPC boss advise Egbetokun to invite the indigenous security groups to share ideas in other to make the country security friendly.
The OPC group also congratulated other top ranking police officers that were newly promoted after long wait
