OPC leader tasks Tinubu on Security

Christianah Gold

National President of Oodua People's Congress Reformed, Dare Adesope in a recent news has bring back APC flag bearer for the 2023 general election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to memory lane, explaining how he brought President Muhammad Buhari and Prof Osinbajo to YorubaLand in 2015 thereby  promising them a change.
According to him, everyone believed in Asiwaju choice of candidates and went extra mile to contribute their quota in ensuring that the election favoured them but unfortunately there is no change as expected.
However, he stressed on how Tinubu burst out recently because of fear of losing the primary election, where he told the whole world how President Muhammad Buhari was at the verge of giving up his ambition after loosing three times, many Nigerians were in the dark untill Bola Tinubu's outburst where he explained how he told Buhari the need to put Yoruba in mind which he agreed but unfortunately turned it down unattended to during his governance.

"Inspite of the fear that you exhibited before the primary election, destiny  still shined on you that you eventually emerged the Presidential candidate of your party when some other aspirants who initially revolt against you have a re think to step down for you, which had been my clarion call from the beginning.

Adesope recall what the crusader of Yoruba Nation, Prof Banji Akintoye said  if I  were to pick the best from all the presidential aspirants ,it will be Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu but his silence position towards Yoruba Nation is yet to be interpreted as Yoruba descendants are very ready to put an end to being enslaved in their land.

Adesope pressed further to advise Tinubu that winning primary election can't be compared to winning the general election and witnessing the final swear in as the president. He said all Hands should be on desk to guide against every post election trouble to avoid a repeat of what happened to late Chief MKO Abiola.

" I have shown my clear interest on security matters, Owo security was breached few weeks ago and innocent people where killed in the holy sanctuary but the President did not say anything, recently in Lagos State, Fulani herdsmen killed a bus conductor in broad day light because a strayed cow got knocked down by a commuter bus, how on earth would a reasonable person kill a human being because of an animal which is purposely for financial gain.

The time to defend our territories is now, we all need to rise up to fight against this because anybody can be the next victim of these heartless people. My major concern is why would the government ask militants to submit pump action and double barrel when some particular set are going about flaunting AKs

Adesope urges all the South West governors to team together to build a strong fence that will tackle insecurity in every part of their territory, like always say, our group members know their location like the back of their palm so they can easily dish out a criminal. 'My advice is that, to avoid anarchy, each state governor should set up a vigilante group by bringing all security groups in his state under one umbrella to constitute his state vigilante and members of such group should be well equipped for effective security. Because if a  governor of a state who happens to be the chief security of a state can come out to say that gun license should be issued to masses for self defence,it simply means that the insecurity is beyond our governors and that's why they need to work with my advice on security in order to ensure adequate security of lives and properties of the people
