Chairman of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA has tasked all women to focus more on the way of life of their children and teach them all they need to know about politics.
The conveyer of the program, Honorable Jimoh Rodiat Ifeoluwa , the supervisor for Women Affairs and poverty alleviation (WAPA) in
her own speech said the program came to birth owing to her urge to help guide women into good parenting and it shall be a continual event which will be use to reshape lives and homes.
The program tagged " Sensitization of women on good parenting and their role in politics" which took place Monday 27 June, in the premises of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA was chaired by Alhaja Kehinde Ajala,the wife of the council chairman, Honorable Rasak Olusola Ajala, welcomed all resourceful women from within and outside the local council area.
According to Alhaja Kehinde Ajala, women are the first tutor to the children owing to their closeness from pregnancy to childbirth, by virtue of this, mothers should be mindful of what they do or say in the presence of the children.
Speaking further she said, all mothers should extend their hands to community parenting, because building their children alone would leave the future unbearable for them when those children they left unbuilt start creating problem for their well built children.
In her own speech, OAP, Laide Gold the guest speaker itemized what she tagged ingredients of good parenting starting from parents tutorship from Education, Security, Protection,Exposure and Sex Education. She said every mother should be ready to protect her child from danger in this present computer age syndrome and mothers should .she said the should note that the children now see things ahead than their mothers so they should be prepare to attend to their strange questions.
Also present at the occasion are; Mrs Idowu omolola, Deputy leader odiolowo, Iyaloja general Odi-Olowo, wives of the councilors and Supervisors , Mrs oni kayode Hod WAPA , Market women , Artisans, CDC, CAN / FOMWAN , NYCN among others
