Reactions As Colleagues Announced Iyabo Oko's Death On Social Media

People seriously react to how actors and actresses took to social media to announce death of a senior colleague Kudirat Odukanmi also known as Iyabo Oko, who was declared dead by her daughter but the veteran actress has reportedly come back to life.

The actress who had been bedridden for close to five years was "confirmed dead" on Wednesday night, January 5.

The daughter of the 61-year-old actress announced her mother's "death" and further revealed that her mother was diagnosed with ischaemic stroke about five years ago but chose to keep her health issues away from the public.

Iyabo's daughter, Bisi Aisha in a social media message with a crying emoji announces her mum's death. The message reads "My mum is gone," 😭😭

Speedily, actress Foluke Daramola Salako and others in the industry took to social media to mourn the actress.

However,  hours later, her daughter returned to social media to say that the actress has shown signs of life again which sprang up people's reaction towards the announcement.

Mixed reaction followed the daughter's latest announcement, while some blamed the daughter for not seeking medical confirmation before going public, others blamed the theater practitioners for sharing unconfirmed news.

Further more, some said it is now an open secret that the people in the film industry do not care about each other's health except prompt announcement of death.

'Why will they rush to announce the woman's death even without sending a representative to confirm,it seems most of them are been left out in the film industry, they have turned half baked bloggers' a social commentor fumed.
