The Central Organizing Committee of 2021 Iganmode Festival, has today, gifted each of the four quarters in Ota cash to the tune of N250, 000 for even participation in the festival.
The Chairman of Iganmode Cultural festival, Aare Dele Bankole, while handling a signed cheque to the quarter monarchs, told them that this year’s festival was a break from the norm as the committee has decided to take good care of indigenes and residents of Ota and suburbs during this year’s event.
Aare added that the money was meant to cater for their subjects in each of the quarters.
While thanking the Committee on behalf of the monarchs, the Oloruba of Oruba, Ota, HRH Oba Abdulwadud Ajani Dehinde, lauded the effort of Aare Bankole led committee; while also assuring judicious use of the money and their maximum support during and after the event.
Iganmode Festival, has on Monday, kicked off in grand styles with Osugbo prayers offered for the Olota and the entire indigenes and residents of Ota for a hitch free and successful event.
It was also gathered that the committee later this evening, extended a hand of fellowship to the Ijamido Children’s home as part of activities heralding the weeklong cultural event.
