~10 wards unite as Youth mobilisers begin grassroots campaign ahead of 2027

The political atmosphere in Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State came alive as APC youths from across the 10 wards converged on Imeko for a historic Mega Unity Rally, declaring their readiness to mobilise massively for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The rally, organised by the Imeko-Afon APC Youth Independent Mobilisation Team, attracted community youths, Christian youths, Muslim youths and traditional youths, who marched in solidarity with the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at the rally, the Convener, Alhaji Okanlomo Aliu Adio ONSA, ACIPM, described the gathering as a demonstration of the unity, strength and determination of Imeko-Afon youths to contribute meaningfully to the success of the APC at the polls.

He said the initiative was designed to unite youths across political and community structures and establish a formidable grassroots mobilisation network ahead of 2027.

According to him, the movement is being coordinated by committed youth leaders across the Local Government, including Comrade Yusuf Olaegbe, Comrade Olaosebikan Malik, Mr. Ismail Nasiru and other youth coordinators.

In what the organisers described as a major step towards grassroots mobilisation, youth mobilisers were inaugurated for polling units across Imeko-Afon, with a charge to immediately commence engagement and mobilisation within their respective communities.

Okanlomo said the group remained committed to supporting Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola CON (Yayi) in his aspiration to become the next Governor of Ogun State, as well as other APC candidates across the various levels of government.

He, however, stressed that the mobilisation effort would be carried out in collaboration with the established party structures, particularly the party's Mobilisation Committee.

“We are one united family in APC, and our objective is to work together, mobilise our people and deliver victory for our party in 2027,” he said.

The Convener commended party leaders, youth leaders, stakeholders and supporters who participated in the rally, urging them to sustain the momentum and take the mobilisation to every community and polling unit across Imeko-Afon.

The rally ended peacefully amid chants, music and enthusiastic displays of solidarity, with large numbers of youths turning out to demonstrate their support for the APC.

For the organisers, the message from Imeko-Afon is clear: the youth
