Glitz and Glamour as AkedeNews CEO, Rahman Ismail, bags Baaroyin title


Beautiful cap has been added to the already caps of popular journalist and business mogul, Mr. Rahman Niyi Ismail as the handsome and hardworking dude was installed the Baaroyin of Sorobi Igbein Egba land by the baale of the ancient town, High Chief Ambassador Edward Dada Larunsi.

The pen-pusher and CEO Journal Auto was honoured with esteemed chieftaincy title due to his immense and collosal contribution to journalism and humanity in general. The installation that has in attendance cream-de-la cream in the society was held at Exclusive event center, Agbeloba, Abeokuta, Ogun state.

The newest Baaroyin was everywhere to make sure that all the invited guests get the very best moments of their staying at the epoch making event.

It was indeed a day to be remembered for good


Chief BA’AROYIN BIODATA

Chief Rahman Niyi Ismail’s down to earth personality is what has been paving ways for him, shaping his life in the right path.

Rahman, is a proud Lagosian born and bred in Epe area of Lagos State over forty years ago.

Being from original Ijebu(s) faction of Epe indigenes, it’s behove to have a link to one of the Seaside villages under Epe federal constituency. In light of this, Rahman’s lineage could be traced to Shirinwon/IgbÄ™kodo town in Ibeju Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos State.

His late grandfather, Chief Rahman Sanni was the BALOGUN of Shirinwon/IgbÄ™kodo towns. After his demise, his loving son, Rahman Akanbi Mutiu, Ba’aroyin's father was as well appointed to step on his late father’s stool as BALOGUN of the above mentioned towns and as well as BALOGUN Adinni of the two town’s Central Mosque.

Going by the lineage of Chief Rahman, Chieftaincy title is their call, and when duty calls, you honour.

Ba’aroyin of Shorobi Egbein, is a journalist, a seasoned one to reckon with in the industry. He lived in Agbowa/Ikosi, under Ikosi Ejirin local government developmental area where he had his both primary and secondary school education.

He is a product of Lagos State University (LASU). He started his Journalism career at The World Information Agents Limited, the publisher of ALAROYE newspaper and AKEDE Agbaye magazine respectively in the year 2005/2006 as an Industrial Trainee (I.T) student.

After graduation, Chief Rahman worked briefly in an electrical installation company, Kandelight where he was skilled as an electrician but his penchant and urge for writing and journalism led to his resignation from the company and pitched his tent with Alariya Oodua Communication, publisher of Alariya Oodua Magazine.

Having entrenched his prowess in Yoruba style of news writing, under the tutelage of his highly respected boss, Prince Quazeem Aderounmu, who happened to be the editor of the magazine then and now the publisher of both De-reportorial and ALORE TV, Chief Rahman found it worthy to sharpen his teeth in the English faction of news writing.

Hence, he was gainfully employed at the Top Celebrities Magazine where he was saddled with the responsibility of covering entertainment beat. It is of no doubt that entertainment stories sell tabloid and magazines. This invariably challenged Chief Rahman Niyi Ismail to cover over seven pages of the magazine of 32 pages with mind blowing cover page stories that stood a chance to send other competitors to extinction.

At the Top Celebrities magazine, his resilient and hardworking spirit led to his promotion as a Senior staff writer before he resigned and became an editor with Newsthumb magazine where he spearheaded the overall activities of the total production process.

In the spirit of seeking for more experience in the industry, Chief Rahman resigned at the Newsthumb and got an employment at the Nigeria NewsDirect daily newspaper owned by Dr Samuel Ibiyemi of blessed memory and after years of active involvement, Rahman later Joined Global Excellence magazine editorial crew.



Having served meritoriously in various capacities, JORNA as Chief Rahman Niyi Ismail is fondly called among his peers chose to diversify by going into car business.

As of today, he’s the publisher of AKEDENEWS online and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Journal Global Autos; the automobile company that deals in buying and selling of different model and brands of cars with it office situated in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
