The annual Osun festival of Chief Mrs Osunronke wears a new look on December 27 as media Practitioners from both print and electronics stormed the event to honor the Osun acolyte.
Representative from each sector of the media made it a date at Igbo-Olomu, Ikorodu area in Lagos State where Yeye Osunronke gathered his fellow Osun worshippers to mark annual festival of the water goddess.
Speaking with the press, Osunronke said she is overwhelmed by the presence of all the press men and also promise to be friend of the press. She described Osun, the water goddess as Olomoyoyo meaning mother to many children " Every woman looking for the fruit of the womb should not go far but come to Osun as the supreme Being has made her the custodian of children" Yeye Osunronke affirmed.
However, she implore every Yoruba son and daughter to embrace culture as it will stand as their identity anywhere they are in the world ' We cannot run away from our culture because the white did not run away from theirs, let us identify with our culture because it is going to speak and make way for us anywhere we go'
The eventful festival was powerfully anchor by ace presenter Ajoke Balogun also known as Orente, while Omorilewa Akewi,Ayanbinrin entertained guests with beautiful ewi chants and Music supplied by a renowned culture ambassador Apena Afelele.
